Today we’d like to introduce you to Jimmy Arguello.
Hi Jimmy, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
It began with Its founder and owner, Jimmy Arguello, who was born and raised in South Florida, where Latin music impulse his body to move, and vibrant lights created a scene on the streets in which the community gathered in celebration of life. Jimmy had amazing mentors which led him to have a successful career till this day. which is why he possesses a wealth of knowledge to share and vast experience in commercial, theater, and dance companies.
Arguello Entertainment was established in 2010 to instill vulnerability in artists in order to foster creativity and imagination at its purest form, using multiple facets within the fine arts: movement, collaboration, and education. Our visionary team always strives to work with respect, understanding, and love, which is why they have impacted so many people throughout their journey. People familiar with their work say their creativity has crossed artistic boundaries and embraced every artistic genre. AE Team have shared their expertise and passion globally from Asia to Canada, Central America, and all over the United States in hopes of bringing change and opportunity to those seeking guidance in the performance industry. The company has become a force to be reckoned with in the national dance scene known for its diverse team of instructors/choreographers who have forged successful careers throughout the globe as performers, choreographers, and dance educators. Arguello Entertainment understands the need to nurture the past, present, and the future for dance within the community, so we shall continue to share our experience and vast knowledge through leadership, love, and most importantly respect.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
We most definitely had some hard obstacles to overcome throughout our years in business. I believe our biggest challenge was and still is social media. We take pride in our team, and we believe in our product. But with social media taking control of reality and what people believe they think it is best for them by “likes”, and “followers”. It has caused us to think twice if we wanted to continue this journey.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Well. I have been a professional dancer, choreographer, instructor, and adjudicator since I was 18 years old. I have spent the first decade of my career traveling the world, meeting new people, learning about different cultures, and building communities in low-income areas.
I do not specialize in one form as I believe we can offer so much in so many ways. But I am most proud of building Arguello Entertainment and of course my amazing team who continue to stand by my side since the beginning. We are a family with a vision of helping those who are not as fortunate in the world through music, movement, mentorship, leadership, and lots of laughter.
What sets us apart from others would be our truth. We believe that honesty in this entertainment world is what sets us aside from most who continue to demeanor young artists through false information.
