Daily Inspiration: Meet Kailey Kiser

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kailey Kiser.

Hi Kailey, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Hi! I’m Kailey Kiser, a professional freelance make up artist in the metro Atlanta area.

I began taking an interest in the makeup industry towards the end of high school, as I became a fan favorite to do my friends makeups for special events and occasions. It became my passion making those closest to me feel beautiful, and it was something I decided I wanted to do for others full time.

I studied at the Academy of Makeup Arts in Nashville, TN where I completed the “Professional Makeup Artist” program in 2017 and showcased my work at several Expo’s over the past few years, including PMAC and the RAWARTIST showcase.

I am a three time winner of Wedding Wire’s “Couples Choice Award” for my work in the bridal industry.

I truly have a passion for my work and love being a part of each client’s special day, no matter the occasion. I have done weddings, proms, boudoir, photo shoots, nearly everything in my 8 years in this career.
Making other women feel beautiful is the most rewarding job I could have even been given, and being able to help someone’s day be even more special by what I do is what I love the most.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Starting off my career, I was very busy in the beginning. Working just about any makeup gig I could get. I had my website made, business cards to give out, and started advertising. Covid season definitely affected my career and business, almost completely wiping out my dream. But the the light shined through, and all the people who had been waiting and waiting for the dark time to pass started getting married. I will forever be grateful for all the micro, backyard, just the bride and groom weddings that helped me get through that season. Now, here 5 years later, and my fall wedding books are full. Next year is already booking and I’m so thankful for all of my wonderful brides from past, and to come.
