Hi Kelsi, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
I founded Kontent by Kelsi to take a leap of faith in myself. While I had always created flyers, logos, and content for other businesses, I had never focused on my own endeavors. After researching digital products, I was hooked!
Instead of just showcasing my creativity, I wanted to empower other entrepreneurs, especially moms, to build their own income streams and reclaim their time. Mothers are often confined to the role of parenting, but they are capable of achieving so much more! You can excel in your career and manage your household. My goal now is to support all moms in elevating their lives and seizing opportunities for personal growth.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It hasn’t been an easy journey. Balancing work and motherhood has been one of the biggest challenges. With a lively 2-year-old daughter, finding time for content creation, digital products, and all the other personal and maternal responsibilities was quite demanding. Yet, they say nothing worthwhile comes without effort, right?
As a woman and a mother, there’s often a feeling of needing to have all the answers, especially with a little princess observing every step. Our children pay close attention to everything we do, which can make it daunting when you question, “Am I on the right path?” or “Would she be proud of her mommy?”
Thus, I made the tough decision to start afresh! Despite the difficulties, it was necessary for my daughter and my future. Returning to Atlanta, I dedicated myself wholeheartedly to Kontent by Kelsi.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
As a creative individual, I design DFY digital products, logos, book covers, and basic websites. My focus lies in guiding mothers to establish their own businesses through digital products. One of my proudest achievements is taking a leap of faith in myself, recognizing my value, and applying my skills effectively.
What distinguishes me is my genuine compassion. My primary goal is to support others in achieving success, particularly fellow moms. I never want any parent to believe that their aspirations must be abandoned after becoming a parent. While it may require extra effort, it’s manageable – simply create a plan, establish goals, and take action!
Risk-taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
I strongly believe that taking risks is essential for success. By stepping out of your comfort zone, you can grow and achieve your full potential. There is a certain beauty in embracing risks, and I greatly admire those with the courage to do so.
Personally, I took a leap of faith by moving back to Atlanta, a decision I never thought I’d make, but I saw an opportunity to create a better life for my daughter and myself, so I seized it. The key is to push yourself beyond your comfort zone because if you don’t take a chance and believe in yourself, then who will?
