Today we’d like to introduce you to LaDarius Jackson.
Hi LaDarius, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I started out in high school putting together: senior skip days, BBQ’s that turned into parties, meet-up events, etc. After high school, I realized that school having a 9-5 job was not a thing for me. After a failed attempt of attending college, I decided to pursue entertainment. Working under 182 Entertainment a company founded in Atlanta, I learned the ropes of the party and entertainment industry. After learning the ropes under 182 Entertainment, I started my own company BooBee Entertainment a few years later. While being just a promoter at the time, I was curious to do more things. I ended up being a host on the nights in which I was the promoter at various lounges/clubs. After a few more years of being a host, I had to learn something else, so on to learn to DJ was it. I was originally taught the ropes by DJ Geminii & DJ Brickz out of the Wildlife Dj’s coalition. After a crucial turn in my life, I dropped the entertainment business and turned to a different direction for three years to satisfy others of what they thought I should do. After three years of giving up my passion in entertainment, I decided to step back into it. Ever since I’ve been back, I’ve been able to throw some of the best parties on the Eastside of Atlanta. Just this year 2022, I was fortunate enough to get inducted into the Wildlife Dj’s coalition. In which I believe to be an honor seeing that the very two people that taught me to DJ respect my growth. It says a lot.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road has been quite bumpy. Ups, downs, laughs & cries to say the least. However, it has put me in the position that I am in now. The main thing that I dealt with along the way were janky promoters, club owners that didn’t want to pay & getting out of my comfort zone.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m a Dj (Dj Fat Daddy), Promoter and Artist manager & CEO of BooBee Entertainment. . I’m most proud of helping my personal friend build a revolving door of clients to his lounge. I’m known for going into a situation having the people to adapt to my way of partying.
Any big plans?
My plan is to take all of my skills and open up a lounge for myself. Also, tapping into more out-of-state avenues.
