Today we’d like to introduce you to Letisha Holt.

Letisha Holt

Letisha, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
One day I was doing laundry, and while I was loading the dryer, my 5-year-old son, who was three years old at the time was unloading it and putting the clothes on the floor. He had a great desire to help, but despite the extra work he caused, I couldn’t help but appreciate his enthusiasm. And I came up with the idea to write a children’s book about him helping me around the house. I wrote out my manuscript and then started my search to find an illustrator. After I found my illustrator for my book, it all came together. Kamrin is a Big Helper is available in eBook and print formats on Target.com, Amazon.com, Barnes & Noble, Books a Million and Walmart.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t been a smooth road. Initially, I wrote the book but it took me two years to find an illustrator to capture my vision, and this was my first book so it has been a learn-as-you-go experience for me. Nevertheless a great experience!

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am an Assistant Property Manager for a prestigious property management company. I am currently studying for my real estate license as well.

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
That I am very shy! I know my besties wouldn’t agree lol, but I am very shy and even with my projects. Presenting Kamrin Is A Big Helper to the world was very scary for me.
