Today we’d like to introduce you to Lisseth Nava.
Hi Lisseth, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I originally wanted to do psychology for high school kids but before trying to heal others, I wanted to self-heal. Through my self-healing journey, I came across the opportunity for modeling three times. I rejected the first two times but finally on the third agreed once I started my modeling career, I never looked back until I became a mother. I dedicated myself to my children Until they were old enough that they didn’t need me as much anymore as much as in the younger ages. I took a chance to step back into the industry and challenge myself for more. In the end of 2020, I started acting which had originally sparked my interest during my beginning modeling days. I had an opportunity to be the model call girl. There was an audition for a MTV commercial and I was the one calling the actors names so they can audition. After everyone was done, the directors allowed me to look over the auditions and since that moment, my love for the industry grew and being in movies sparked my interest. My first movie that by the way will be out this summer named. “Dry Places”.
I also started a sitcom called Lexi and Jade and another action movie I am unable to release details on. I have been blessed that through hard work, passion and dedication for the craft has put me in a successful path. I want to thank “Radio Metroplex” and “Welcome2 Elm street podcast” for having me and interviewing me on accomplishments as well as Voyage. Last year I joined tattoo mark in a nonprofit organization to Collect Teddy Bears for kids in hospitals on Christmas Day. Last year we donated 578 Teddy Bears to Cooks Children. The CEO of the hospital was so great full she spread the word and now we have two more additional hospitals we started collecting them this year the beginning of March to make sure every child gets something. You are welcome to reach myself or Tattoo Mark for any donations. These bears do have to be new with tags since they will go to critical kids. You are always welcome to stay updated on any projects. Once released, I usually share it on my IG: @Lisseth_Nava_ or my fan FB page: Lisseth Nava @EmpoweringOthers
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
There’ is always a body image that is usually recommended and after having kids a woman’s body changes. I did have insecurities and had to find myself Confidence again. I took it as a challenge and after jumping into the industry again, my success grew even more than before having my children. Just goes to show that you should always follow your dreams and your passions because you never know how far It will take you. Being in the entertainment career is never really a smooth road, in this industry, you get rejected multiple times before you get accepted for a gig. You have to be really strong-minded in the industry and truly believe in yourself no matter the obstacles or what others think. Follow your dreams regardless and shine that inner light.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am in the entertainment industry as a model and actress. I have been published and featured in mini magazines including Voguish Magazine-X2 Source modeling Mod modeling and many more. I am known for the movies Dry places, Lexi and Jade, the break up, the diamond Texter, the mogul, etc.
Music video with Kaleb McIntire, Jeremy Allen. I was reached out by ArronMicheal to be in his upcoming album once I am able to get a break from filming. Recently I was in a Napals artist music video.
How do you think about luck?
I am a big believer that you create your own work so as long as you give out positive energy, you will receive positivity back. If you are focused on all the negative and everything that goes bad that is all you see. To every situation, there is a positive and a negative you just have to pick and choose what you would rather look at and focus on that. Take it to your advantage of changing your mindset and thrive, just stay positive.
