Rapper Meechie Alexander hails from Vinton, LA by way of Sin City better known as Las Vegas, NV. The North section to be exact. Obstacles in his life weren’t a rarity. The talented artist showcased his skills on the hardwood and gridiron as well as the booth. After playing some years in college, his ambitions to become an artist grew along with his love for music. He took a gamble on his dream and switched lanes. Now ten toes down in his craft, he has put out consistent projects since 2018. His buzz grew and even started to get noticed by an artist breaking the scene named Larry June. He joined him on tour to cities in Seattle and to New Orleans. His grind, faith in God, and hustle made him to be the artist he is today.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Definitely has not been a smooth road. It’s everything but that. Learning the business by far the hardest, but it’s necessary so folks can’t play you.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a Hip-Hop artist. I am most proud of the fact that I am still creating. I am most proud of being a father. I am most proud of still chasing my dream with making a living off of music & slowly getting recognition from it. I set myself away from others from not following trends, speaking about what I live & most importantly, just being me.
