Hi Mimi, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I became a mother at 15 years old, a year and nine months later I had my second son. It was at that moment I realized I couldn’t just be a typical teenage mom, so I started to make some changes in my life. At 21, I packed my two boys up and moved them to Atlanta for a fresh start. The moment I touched down my mission was to prove everyone wrong and make something out of myself. At a young age, I’ve always felt a deep passion for skin care. I was blessed with the opportunity to travel to Nigeria. While on my journey, I’ve encountered natural products that help heal and nourish the skin. Then when my oldest son started struggling with acne, as most teens do, I began researching ways to naturally help clear his skin. I wanted to find only the purest natural ways to treat, heal and cure my son. Eventually, my entire family and friends were using my products. All of my were so gentle and nourishing that it literally rejuvenated our skin. Leaving only a natural and radiant glow; products that were touched only by our earth and my hands. The success of my skin line prompted me to go even deeper in my journey to became the first Beauty & Wellness Mobile Spa in Atlanta. So as a highly motivated and aspiring entrepreneur, I bought and converted a bus into a mobile spa. Since then I have done: brunches, pop-up shops, celebrity events and more. This journey has been amazing!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Absolutely not, when creating products from scratch, you have a lot of trial and error. Sometimes my mixtures wouldn’t mesh together as I would want it to, or finding vendors for labels and dealing with shipping delays. The creation of the bus even had its rough moments but all the trials and tribulations made this journey just that much more special. I put a lot of blood sweat and tears into this and I was eager to defeat any obstacle that I was confronted with. Staying grounded in prayer and having a huge support system definitely kept me motivated at these times.

I am a Certified Nurse Assistant and Licensed Esthetician, owner and creative of MiSoNatural. A beauty & wellness mobile spa that offers an array of relaxing and rejuvenating services that not only help you look good but feel good. We specialize in Body Sculpting, Teeth Whitening, Yoni steaming, Feet Detox and facials and waxing. We use our own, Mi So Natural organic products during your service so that every skin type can get the proper love and care it deserves. I am so proud of my brand; from my skincare line to my mobile spa, because everything was made by hand, and builded with love from me to the universe. My brand is like no other, it became a lifestyle, and not just a product or a service but an essential part of people’s everyday routine. My goal is to introduce everyone to the MISONATURAL experience as I travel around the world exposing everyone to this lifestyle.
What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
I love the circle here. There is a huge amount of support and culture. I love the way the small businesses work hand and hand with each other to help each other succeed. I have been welcomed with open arms here and I embrace it! There isn’t much that I really dislike about ATL! If I could bring sandy beaches here, this place would be perfect. I have enjoyed my journey here and I am even prouder to be a Georgian from Detroit, Michigan.
