Hi Mocha, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Hi, I’m Mocha, founder of Finesse Pole Factory. I’ve danced since childhood, with over seventeen years of experience. In 2018, I took a pole dance class on my birthday, and I’ve been passionate about pole fitness ever since. I was diagnosed with depression and anxiety in 2009, and I’ve found that dance has been the most effective intervention for me. I want to offer that same outlet to others, helping them relieve stress and build confidence. That’s what led me to start my business in December 2022, and it’s been an exciting journey ever since.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Definitely not a smooth road, but well worth it! Figuring out the most effective marketing strategies has been the most challenging part of operating my business so far. In addition to developing effective marketing strategies, balancing home life, social life, and personal time while managing my business has been a challenge. However, I’ve been actively working on allocating my time more efficiently to maintain a healthy balance. Furthermore, I am currently self-funding my business without external loans or sponsorships, which can be demanding at times, but I remain committed to its growth and success.
I’ve also been focusing on expanding my network by connecting with other entrepreneurs and industry professionals to gain insights and new opportunities. Managing finances carefully has been crucial, as every investment I make directly impacts the growth and sustainability of my business. Despite the challenges, I find joy in seeing my hard work pay off and in the positive feedback from clients who appreciate my services. To stay motivated, I set clear goals and regularly celebrate small milestones, which helps me stay focused on long-term success. Ultimately, my passion for what I do keeps me pushing forward, even when obstacles arise.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I own a pole fitness business that specializes in facilitating exclusive pole parties for special occasions, one on one pole fitness instruction for students/clients, premium stage pole rental services and booking agent for performers (including myself) for live entertainment, music videos, photoshoots, corporate events, etc.!
My work is dedicated to anyone looking to reconnect with themselves and find a meaningful outlet for self-expression. I am passionate about creating a supportive, non-judgmental space where individuals can release stress, build confidence, gain clarity, and develop both physical and mental strength.
My goal is to create a fun, empowering, and inclusive experience for individuals of all skill levels, whether they are beginners or experienced dancers. I take pride in offering high-quality services that cater to a variety of needs, ensuring each client has a unique and unforgettable experience. Safety and professionalism are top priorities, and I ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and that performers are well-prepared for every booking. In addition to providing entertainment and pole fitness instruction, I also strive to build a supportive community where people can explore their confidence and creativity through pole dancing. As my business continues to grow, I am constantly looking for new ways to innovate and expand my services to better serve my clients.

I love that my city offers so many opportunities for entrepreneurs to thrive and flourish. Diverse Community, Strong Economy & Job Market, Good Schools and Proximity to Atlanta – It’s close enough to Atlanta for commuting while offering a suburban lifestyle.
On the contrary, the city can be a bit too crowded and noisy. Traffic and Commute Times, can be frustrating for commuters. And the Rising Cost of Living, due to population growth and demand can be a strain for some people.
Despite these challenges, the city’s vibrant culture and endless networking opportunities make it an ideal place for business owners like myself. There are always events, workshops, and business expos that allow me to connect with potential clients and collaborators. The entertainment industry is thriving here, which creates a steady demand for my services in pole fitness. Additionally, the city’s nightlife and event scene provide numerous opportunities for my performers to showcase their talents. Overall, the benefits of living and working in this city far outweigh the drawbacks.
