Today we’d like to introduce you to Nelse Dumas Jr.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Hello, my name is Nelse Dumas Jr. well known as Nelse D. I’m a producer, artist, director, and videographer. I am the CEO of my entertainment company Unionmoney ENT. I use my skills to attain my dreams as well as helping others with theirs by making things happen. In fact, I had my 2nd original independent film, NO TALKING, in premiere theaters throughout Pittsburgh. I was able to bring a cast of together from the tri-state area to participate. It was a great experience for all. I’m also an extra in the series Mayor Of Kingstown, which is a Paramount production. I”
I create my own original music, the most recent called “Leave Me On Read.” Bentley Records, with whom I have partnered, is responsible for my distribution. It’s on all platforms going crazy.
I’ve spent my whole childhood in the presence of music, I always loved it and developed a genuine interest in making music when I was in my pre-teens. My grandpa and mother were my primary musical influences, both of whom were composers in their own right. I can’t help but be creative in all that I do. I’m loyal to myself that’s what elevates me to the level of a great artist.
I’ve served as an opening act for a number of well-known artists. In addition to putting up my own large events, I appeared in plays and musicals in several musical theaters growing up. I have been to big-name industry places such as Def jam records and interviewed by power 105 and ThisIs50. I’ve performed at SxSW and performed during NBA All Star.
As stated before I direct and produce movies and short films. My company, Unionmoney ENT, provides a variety of services, including music production, photography, and cinematography, as well as marketing. As things are, I have only one direction to go, and that’s up. See you at the top.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
My struggle was the fact of everything I did and do in this business took big money from my pockets. I’m thankful for my mom and grandma helping hand in also investing in my career til this day.

I’m proud of the fact that I keep going. I do it all, I do everything myself. I am self-sufficient from beat to bars. Those who know me know I do everything. That’s what I’m known for.
