Today we’d like to introduce you to Praise Levi
Praise, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My journey truly started after I graduated college, and since I went to school out of state, it allowed me to have a lot of alone time with myself to figure out exactly what it is I wanted to do once i got back to the city. Studying engineering allowed me to realize that i didn’t want to work for the next 30 years in the field. I knew that i wanted ownership over something, and i wanted take the necessary steps to do so. I’m a strong believer of never giving up on what you want to achieve and I’ve accepted the fact that large trees take a while to grow, so I’m never rushing my process and learning to live more in the now rather than fixate on the future
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
My path hasn’t exactly been smooth, but I try not to look at the glass half empty. I understand that nothing goes as planned, but I approach things by having the mindset of “this just happened for me” rather than “this just happened to me” . Finding a consistent supplier for certain products attached to my brand is STILL something that I’m figuring out today, Another thing that I needed to put a lot of energy toward is marketing and time management. Often times, I’ve felt like I’ve gotten in the way of my own success by not giving the little things 100% of my effort, and its an every day battle, but the love keeps me going
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m most widely known as a model, but I would line to be more recognized as an actor, despite the fact that I’m only in the beginning stages of my acting career. I’ve always been more drawn toward acting because I feel like it’s a harder craft to perfect, also because I’ve always felt that I can take on any role asked of me to do. As of lately I’ve done a full rebrand, cut my hair, and I’m getting back into creating content more consistently both for self and my brand collectively. I’m most proud by far of creating my brand. I say that because in doing that, I’ve inspired a generation after me who wants ownership over their own brand also. This is what sets me apart from others, the fact that even though I’m actively working toward a goal, I always try to bring others around me along the way. I do understand that “you can’t take everybody with you” but I can try. I dont think there’s any sense of satisfaction if you make it to the top by yourself
Who else deserves credit in your story?
Not in an arrogant way, but ME. I deserve all the credit for where I’ve gotten to, because it’s always been an uphill battle. For the longest I’ve felt that there’s a massive target on my back, I’ve had to overcome real world issues to be able to even be alive and well today. God gave me the strength to make it through the fire, and without Him, I wouldn’t even be a free man today. My business is a product and representation of the things I’ve endured over the past 5 years, and the same way it took time to overcome, the same way I’ll gradually be watering brand and allow it to grow
