Prince Armanii De’Vaugn (Prince Of ChiLanta) Young

Hi Prince Armanii De’Vaugn, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My name is Prince Armanii De’Vaughn Young, born June 13 on an island that is blue (Blue Island, IL) and raised on the south side of Chicago, Illinois by my parents Alfredia Parker and Larry Young. Growing up, I learned quickly my passion is to entertain. I did everything within the arts; Dance, sing, musical theatre, stage plays, commercials, and tv shows. I’m also a member of various organizations such as; House Arrest 2 Championship Dance Team Inc., Alpha Phi Omega Nation Service Fraternity, and Lambda Alpha Epsilon Criminal Justice Fraternity. At a young age, I knew I was going to be the topic of discussion.

As for my career, my dream has always been to be a family lawyer. Everything I did up till today was in preparation for that. I went to Emil G. Hirsch High School on the south side of Chicago, majored in Law & Public Safety. I graduated and went on to pursue my bachelor’s in Law Enforcement and Justice Administration at Western Illinois University. To further my education, I then went on to pursue my Master’s In Social Work with my focus being family and children services from the illustrious Clark Atlanta University in Atlanta, GA.

Since moving to ATL, I have been building my brand. I AM CHILANTA, PRINCE OF CHILANTA. Not only do I have a passion for a serious career, I also have a passion for all things social media. I’m your Chicago/ATL social media influencer. I’ve always had socials like Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and YouTube, but I didn’t start really getting into it until I decided one day to create an Instagram fan page for the fans and followers of The Zeus Network Bad Boys. The @OfficialBadBoysClub fan page was created to bring attention to other individuals like myself who wanted a chance to be seen on tv. We grew from 0 followers to 24k as of today in less than a year. With the help of my best friend/colleague Dushawn “Blue” Darling, who host the after-show review lives we have where we discuss the newest episode. We create different activities for our followers and I could’ve done it all alone. Social Media can really take over your life, but you have to be strong-minded.

Since creating the Bad Boys Club fan page, it’s opened so many doors, I started working with YouTuber, Artist, and Netflix Star Oliver Twixt as his social media manager. I was also nominated for ATL Boss Babe Awards Influencer Of The Year. That alone has also provided many opportunities for me within the entertainment industry. I’ve been getting booked to do interviews, host events, make appearances, promote and more. I’m always looking to network with new individuals and businesses, check out more about me by clicking the link in my Instagram bio.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Obstacles I’ve faced have been figuring out who I am, reconstructing my friend circle, and finding out my niche. Growing up, I was in denial of my sexuality and it was difficult moving through life, friendships, and relationships with friends and family.

When I turned 30, the theme of my birthday event was “PRINCE 3.0: EVOLUTION OF PRINCE”. This was when I decided for myself that I was going to evolve in every aspect of life and I can see that unfolding little by little today. Evolution of Prince also started the reconstruction of my friend group. I prayed for God to remove people from my life that was holding me down in any way. Today, I can see my prayers have been answered. I have met so many positive individuals within this past year who I know is on the same path as me.

Finding myself was also a part of the Evolution of PRINCE stage in my life because this is when I started to really get to know myself, figure out what it is I’m good at, and find my niche. I grew on all of my social media platforms in less than two years. I’ve gotten the chance to meet with celebrities like Mona Scott Young, Tommie Lee from Love and Hip Hop & Zeus Network Baddies, Celebrity Fashion Guru Winnie Stackz, Mo Heart of Rupauls Drag Race, Anne Moore from Zeus Network Baddies, and Artist Black Diamond just to name a few.
