Daily Inspiration: Meet Princess Ella

Today we’d like to introduce you to Princess Ella.

Princess, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I have been exposed to and been around music all my life. I started singing and composing songs at the age of 10. All my teenage years were spent singing at the church choir. My elder brother was a huge influence, he used to rap way back in school and sometimes he let me compose his chorus. I’m from a family where music is very important. Growing up I was part of a group, it didn’t last and So as I grew older I kept singing and writing songs. I play a couple of musical instruments, drums, keyboard, guitar and a little bit of flute. I got carried away with life for many years and stopped music but now I am officially Back to it.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, it hasn’t been very smooth. I’m an independent artist, I sing, record and promote myself by myself without a sponsor or record label and still try to maintain my everyday life outside of music. Not easy but I love it. Music keeps me going.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Princess OnorElla is an independent Nigerian afro artist based in the United States. I specialize majorly in afrobeats/afropop , Afro Latina and a little bit of Afrornb. I’m known for making love songs and getting people on their feet. I’m proud of how far I’ve come all by myself as an independent artist. My unique style sets me apart from others. The truth is with Princess Ella you never know what to expect. Listen to my latest song YOUR LOVE, available on all streaming platforms.

Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the Covid-19 Crisis?
Yes I’ve learned to be a better introvert (lol) and also I learnt nothing is promised and anything is possible so just live.
