Today we’d like to introduce you to Quentavius Ogletree
Hi Quentavius, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve mentioned this before but I’m always excited to tell my story. It started wanting to quit my job at Pizza Hut which was my first job and my dad saying I couldn’t quit unless I had other income and that sparked an idea in my brain to just try something. I created a design on customink and that took 5 mins, showed him and we ran with it. Here we are. That started in 2016. It’s 2025 now. Nothing has changed.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Definitely not and if anybody says anything they do was “smooth” they’re lying and don’t listen to those people. It’s always a struggle everyday to try & keep people interested in what you do. Whatever that is, selling something, making music, if you’re a chef, etc. keeping people interested is the key because you can wake up one day and nobody wants to support you anymore will it happen? More than likely no. But there’s always a possibility.
I just say try not to overthink. Make what you love. Love what you make. The right people will naturally gravitate to you.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I make clothes. I think I specialize in hoodies because it’s just my favorite piece of clothing and I always have one on lol. No matter what the season is. I think people know me for having Russ buy my whole website twice, that’s probably my proudest accomplishment and I’ll never not thank him for that. I tend to come back to that moment because I just don’t think anything will top that. That was special, the place I was in at the moment with life, yeah it will forever stick with me.
Only thing that sets me apart is simplicity. I’m a strong advocate of keeping things simple and that is what my brand represents. I’m passing a message that I hope resonates with you. That’s all.
We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
Luck plays an important part in my journey. It’s a lot of stuff I’ve made happen that was honestly pure luck and I mean that. A lot of people think it’s just Russ that has got my clothes in person. Curren$y, Meagan good, yesjulz, I could go on. I’ve had a lot of great moments and a lot I’ve kept quiet about. I don’t think you need to just glorify anything. Take some things in for yourself and tell the close people around you. Everything doesn’t need to be posted. I have some more people on my list that I’m sending clothes to. So I’m just super grateful.
