Daily Inspiration: Meet Rachael Green

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rachael Green.

Hi Rachael, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I founded Chosen Angels Inc a 501c3 nonprofit organization back in 2018. Our mission is established to provide supportive assistance and hope to children and families in need within Greater Birmingham and Jefferson County, Alabama.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has not always been easy. My struggle was getting the volunteers  I needed to assist me with whatever event that was taken place at that time . Jefferson County Drug Court and Birmingham Municipal Court assist by sending volunteers to help with Chosen Angels Inc events. I also receive volunteers from family, friends, and church members.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Chosen Angels Inc goal is to  assist families, but also equip children with tools of success. Through my organization, I have been able to provide numerous scholarships, dorm items, and school supplies needed to achieve academic excellence. We also assist with Thanksgiving meals, sponsor families for Christmas among other things. My organization is also a role model to each young person that you can reach your goals. I know firsthand what it feels like to be without or to struggle silently. Therefore, I believe Chosen Angels Inc was given to me as an assignment to help bring ease to families and children. Chosen Angels is not just a business but it’s  a ministry.
