Daily Inspiration: Meet Rachelle Thompson

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rachelle Thompson.

Hi Rachelle, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?

Thanks for having me!  My story starts with me leaving Virginia after college heading to Atlanta with nothing but my car and clothes. I never envisioned myself in a corporate 9-5 but I set a goal to establish roots and consistency which ultimately led to working my way up within a global fortune 500 company.

When the sun set on my corporate career in 2018, I had to shift gears.  Real Estate had been an early interest of mine, thanks to the influence of two of my aunties who had grown successful in their real estate professions. I leveraged my corporate experience & set out to finally do what my spirit had been craving and start my own businesses: consulting & real estate.

I now proudly serve both Georgia and Virginia as a licensed REALTOR®.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Struggle is always going to be a part of the journey.  Going from a comfortable income to navigating unfamiliar territory is an adjustment in and of itself but I’ve also experienced a series of unbelievable setbacks. Everything from being struck by an 18-wheeler to facing a difficult journey with fertility and of course… the PANDEMIC.

I officially started practicing real estate right before the world shut down. I’m a social butterfly by nature so striking out in a brand-new industry that relies a lot on social networking proved challenging with limited in-person contact but created the opportunity to pivot and think outside the box.

Although you may not understand it in the moment, struggles have a way of testing and building your character. I believe it’s how you know you’re really alive. When I stopped asking myself “why is this happening to me” and instead asked, “what is this teaching me” the real growth started.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I help people leverage the power of ownership through buying, selling and investing in real estate. Outside of real estate, I am known for being super festive and loving to plan and host events. I host an annual Vision Board event that encourages people to set & manifest their goals for the upcoming year. It provides a space for people to create, network and form relationships that may help hold them accountable for reaching those goals.

My personal goal in business is to be R.E.A.L in every transaction or endeavor: Reliable, Educator, Authentic, Listener. I’m really big on focusing on the consumer experience in any business and also consult other growing businesses on strategies that will help improve theirs.

I look forward to growing and expanding. As a matter of fact, be on the lookout for Snap Staging, LLC, a boutique home staging company coming soon to serve the Metro-Atlanta area!

What do you like and dislike about the city?
One of the things that drew me to Atlanta was opportunity. The opportunity to thrive both personally and professionally. I love ATL for all that it has to offer! It’s a vibrant city with southern charm and a variety of pockets that have something for everyone, no matter what your interests are.

But the traffic! Not so much 🙂
