Today, we’d like to introduce you to Ramoris Parham.
Thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I’ve always been a creative and social person. Those were two traits that were just God-given. So, getting to combine my creativity, social, love of music and led to me starting my business, RaDaP Multimedia.
I specialize in DJ services (DJ RaDaP), graphic design, and party promotion. I thank God for my time at The Real GSU, Georgia Southern University, for helping me find these gifts and make them my business and passion. Starting from a dorm room in Watson Hall to now being a full-fledged business in Atlanta, I knew God gave me gifts, but I didn’t know it would get me here!
My DJ services have provided experiences for over 100 weddings and one of the best club DJs in Atlanta. I have also earned a position as one of the main graphic designers for KIPP Metro Atlanta Schools. We are also looking forward to taking the next step with opening a graphic design brick-and-mortar office and our first hookah lounge in 2024 and 2025!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has not been a smooth road. Having big dreams is amazing, but it becomes tough when you don’t know how to execute them.
So there have been plenty of what I call “learning experiences” along the way, such as failing party promotions at times, going into debt, being told that my graphics weren’t good enough, personal life issues arising because I was trying to maintain and get the business off the ground, you name it!
However, that has never and will never stop the dream!
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
So aside from RaDaP Multimedia, I am also a high school teacher and coach! I teach Geometry, Algebra 1 & Marketing, Entrepreneurship, and coach Football and the Boys and Girls Step Teams at KIPP Atlanta Collegiate HS.
I love my job, I love my school, I love the kids! Teaching can be a challenging and, in all transparency, draining profession and sometimes it does hinder me from doing things for RaDaP Multimedia, however, I wouldn’t have it any other way!
Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
I thank God for everything I do, everything I have done, everything I will do. God has ordered my steps and with his continued lead, I will continue to be able to be successful.
Also, the greatest thing I’ve ever done is help create my beautiful daughter Rhylinn. Everything is for you, baby girl! Daddy loves you so much!
