Today we’d like to introduce you to Rodriques Giles.
Hi Rodriques, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My name is Rodriques Demond Giles. I’m known by Roddie Juice. I am a self-made model and influencer born in Augusta, GA and raised in Sparta, GA. I am currently 23 living in Atlanta GA. I moved to Atlanta, Ga three years ago in 2019. I started modeling professionally about two years ago. My passion for modeling started when I was attending Middle Georgia State University. I would wake up every morning before my 8am class and get dressed just to take a picture. Even back in high school, I was known for being different and expressing it through my cloth choices. Even under our uniform guide code. Attending MGA people would reach out to me to brand for them. Sending me things from clothes, lashes, and other branding products. This lead to a brand like Moon X Cosmetics to reach out to be a part of a collaboration shoot with Jayda Cheeves and others.
This opportunity really opened my eyes to see that I loved modeling. So I started booking more creative shoots. Really thinking out of the box with my ideas. Starting to brand myself and image. Me being me and nothing but me has come with so many blessings. This lead to someone like Saucy Santana to love me and take me under his wings like real family. I started getting deals. I got an influencer deal with Fashion Novain 2021. I received a deal with Shein also later that year. In 2021, I started furthering my modeling career by walking runway. I’ve walked in NYFW and countless fashion shows here in Atlanta, GA. I want to be the example to younger and older queer and straight people that being you is the most valuable thing that you can be. I truly believe my mission on this earth is preview to others that self-love is the best love.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
I’m a true believer that anything that gets in my way good or bad is a lesson to make me stronger. The road is never easy especially when you’re on the road to success. I’ve had my nights and days of crying but the thought of giving up is not an option.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Modeling is my passion. When it’s time for shoots or runway shows I like to tap into an altar ego. This alter ego is named “Alien Juice”.
What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
I’ve learned growing as a model even when your idea may seem crazy do it. I’ve learned as a person to always love myself.
