Today we’d like to introduce you to Roxy Moure
Hi Roxy, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started in miami florida, assisting a wedding photographer with their Photo Booth. That eventually escalated into me second shooting weddings and then i realized i’d rather trade in long wedding days for long tour days haha so i started documenting concerts and touring with artists.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I think a struggle along the way is that everyone has a camera at a concert so standing out is really difficult. It’s such a saturated industry so i really had to focus on making my work stand out in a world of thousands of concert photographers.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I think im most known for my concert photography work– specifically in a worship setting. Im proud of the way i’ve been able to differentiate myself from other photographers in this very niche space.
Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
I think the job of being a freelancer is a risk in and of itself. Sometimes it can be really scary not knowing when your next job is. The only reason i do it though is because i truly have to. I can’t imagine myself doing anything else.
Pricing:
- I price every project differently depending on what the client wants but i typically start at 1K a day
