Today we’d like to introduce you to Ryan Marques
Hi Ryan, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
well , my name is Ryan Marques , I started making music for fun around the age of 9, I made my first song called “bounce back from the devil” when I was 5 and my grandmother would make me sing it to people at the church . I stared taking music seriously at 14 , I had a trial version of Fl Studio and decided before I watched any YouTube video I wanted to teach myself how to work the software and learn to produce . I knew I had to learn to produce , one was because I was broke and couldn’t afford beats and I wanted to figure out what my sound could be . My mom bought me a mic from the pawn shop some time later for Christmas but before that using my laptops mic i recorded my first mixtape so far gone . When i decided to take it seriously it wasn’t to be famous or rich even though we need money , but I feel in love with just everything about making a song and realized this is what i want to do forever.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Not at all but i guess that’s part of the journey, well other than doing this for about 13 years now with little to no traction, I would just say life in general, life really has had a huge toll on me in recent years.
