Daily Inspiration: Meet Selena Lightfoot

Today we’d like to introduce you to Selena Lightfoot.

Hi Selena, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
How did it all start? I was accepted in the top 20 for Miss Georgia pageant my sophomore year in high school and unfortunately, I had to withdraw my position because my mother’s finances was not up to par. My junior year, I got accepted to compete for Miss Junior of high school unfortunately then I had a carton drawn of me and my classmates posted it on social media and cyberbullied me, then my senior year I decided to go for Miss Senior it was fun that year I passed away phone charges, mink 3d eyelashes, lip gloss, and phone cases, but unfortunately I lost that year too. In 2021 I scrolled past the advertising post of the Miss Jetset Competition. I decided to submit an application December 3rd. I was on the phone with my mother and in the middle of our conversation, I received a message from The Miss Jetset Competition saying my application was accepted and I was chosen to compete in the competition. The competition started January 3rd. I’ve currently made it in the top 10 cuts of the competition and is now competing for top 5 currently holding 3rd place in the competition.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Nothing is never easy to get, but the struggles I went through have made me stronger and has built my confidence real high.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Entrepreneur/Artist/Model . I write music I express myself through my music on Instagram, I have a small online boutique on Instagram as well and I model taking pictures has been my favorite thing to do since a child honestly my grandmother who passed was really my photographer when I was younger she always kept a camera on her when we went place ands would pull it out just to snap she was joke to me because every time it was time for me to ever take a picture when I was younger I use to always tilt my head and put my hand on my shoulder that’s really where me wanting to model came from.

Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
