Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started writing music when I was seven years old. I had a really hard childhood so when the stress would get to be too much for me, I would just lock myself in my room and write for hours. I haven’t stopped since.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Pursuing any dream is not easy. Especially becoming an artist in a world of artists, you know? I’ve struggled with showing my individuality and really trying to stand out. Everyone wants to be a rapper right now, so the ones that really want to make it have to go above and beyond to be seen or heard by the right people.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a hip-hop and certified songwriter. I am most proud of the fact that I can pursue my dream of being a business owner as well. I own a hair company and a credit repair company as well, but I still make time to do what I love. What sets me apart from others is the fact that I take what I do seriously. It’s not always about what’s going to be catchy or what looks good but I really focus on the lyricism and the meanings behind my music. It’s not a game to me at all.
