Hi Ta’Naiyah, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Pony Tingz started the year of 2019, which was my sophomore year of high school. I got inspired by other business women/men to start a business. So, I started a business in something that I really love, beauty. When I first began selling virgin hair extensions, it was a slow process. During that process, I learned more about branding, marketing, and networking. The more knowledge I gained, the more potential customers began to appear. Pony Tingz began gaining customers all around the United States. My love for beauty went above and beyond once I saw happy customers leaving reviews. This was so motivating and exciting for me so I expanded my business. In 2021, I added more products such as hot tools, strip lashes, bonnets, and wraps which garnered lots of attention.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It has absolutely NOT been a smooth road for Pony Tingz! Trying to juggle being a teenager in high school, running a full-time business, having a personal/social life, and working a part-time job were my struggles. Even now, it can be very overwhelming! I’ve had a lack of familia support since I started my business, but it always made me go harder to make sure I continue to stay successful.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Pony Tingz is a hair extensions service along with high quality beauty products such as strip lashes, sunglasses, hot tools, bonnets and elastic bands. We are known for having good quality products at an affordable price. What sets us apart from others is our high-quality products, expeditious shipping process, and customer service. Our hair extensions lasts 1-3 years with good care! Furthermore, our strip lashes can be washed and reused without losing their quality. Each order has been shipped or delivered the same day or the next. We make sure to keep track of each package and verify that it gets to the desired destination. Our customer service responds the same day, within a few minutes or the next hour. We ensure our customers are satisfied and are always our top priority.
What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
The most important lesson that I’ve learned is to never stop learning and networking. It’s always something new for you to learn in the business industry.
