Daily Inspiration: Meet Tanasia Thomas

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tanasia Thomas.

Hi Tanasia, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I’ve known that I always wanted to start a nail business since 2017. I just didn’t know where to start exactly. In 2019, I purchased my first set of nail supplies, which were the basics. From 2019-2020, I watched YouTube videos and practiced on myself to help myself grow. In June of 2021, I took my first professional nail class and that helped me tremendously. Doing nails is not an easy task because there’s a technique that you have to master to be able to lay the acrylic correctly. I’m still learning as of right now but I do think that I’ve grown since the class. I don’t have any outside clientele at the moment just family and friends. I’m hoping to get better as the years progress.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
My main obstacle is just staying consistent and putting myself out there more.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m an up and coming nail tech. I’m currently trying to build my clientele and promote my self more. And what sets me apart from others is that I’m striving to be one of the best nail techs in Atlanta, Georgia. I work hard and I guarantee you won’t be dissatisfied with my work.

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
My favorite childhood memory was when I would go to my grandmother’s house on the weekends and we would go out on Saturdays just to enjoy each other’s company.
