Daily Inspiration: Meet Thomas Regular Jr.

Today we’d like to introduce you to Thomas Regular Jr.

Hi Thomas, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I started as a barber trying to get better quality photos of my hair cuts. I ended up investing in the wrong equipment which led me to teaching myself the basics of photography.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road was semi-smooth. Most of the struggles came from self-doubt and not trusting my work.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Currently, I am a barber at Langfords Barbershop and Style in Kirkwood. I specialize in haircuts and facial hair design. As of late, I have been mostly known for my willingness to help and give back. I help with the Tucker High School Band as a trumpet instructor and media guy. I’m most proud of the progress I’ve made as it pertains to photography. I feel I set myself apart from others by ensuring and upholding a high level of customer service. Making sure each person that supports my business gets what they asked for. Sometimes that requires a creative to be a little open-minded to other people’s ideals.

What do you like and dislike about the city?
I love mostly everything about our city. I was born and raised here and have very little complaints. One of those complaints is ATLANTA TRAFFIC!
