Daily Inspiration: Meet Tia Smith

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tia Smith.

Hi Tia, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I got started in the fitness industry after completing a couple of different Beachbody programs. The classes were so fun and always left me feeling so accomplished. I knew I wanted to be able to give that feeling to other people. Group fitness was always something that appealed to me because I enjoyed working out with other people. After receiving my group fitness instructor certification from ACE, I began teaching dance fitness to hone my skills as an instructor.

Once class was over, the group would begin to share about their individual journeys, successes and setbacks. During those conversations, I could tell that it would be helpful for most people to have an accountability partner. They needed someone that could help keep them motivated and on the right track toward their goals. I began offering accountability services to help with this. My clients started asking more questions about how they could really create new lifestyles. They didn’t want a healthy lifestyle to feel like a chore. I decided to study behavior change to learn more about how to help people adopt healthier habits. That course got me to where I am today.

I help women develop healthier habits by making small changes that they can truly stick to through my TVF30 daily accountability program. The conversations that I have with my clients each day inspired me to start my podcast, Tia’s Table where I discuss fitness and food solutions for busy women that want to live healthier. It is my goal to make healthy living relatable and doable for anyone that has the desire to take the first step.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Some of the struggles that I’ve dealt with was opening and attempting to grow a business right as things were beginning to shut down. That was tough but it turned out to be a great time to focus on professional development.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
As a Behavior Change Expert, I help women develop daily habits that align with the health and wellness lifestyle that they want to live. I am most proud of my clients and the change I see happening in their lives each day. My friendliness and empathy set me apart from other coaches. My clients get results and my approach is like that of a sister or close girlfriend. I shower them with a lot of love and encouragement but most importantly, I meet them where they are daily.

Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
Change can be tough. Consider getting support anytime you’re going through a big life change.
