Daily Inspiration: Meet Tiffany Scott

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiffany Scott.

Hi Tiffany, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
As a young girl, makeup has always been a passion of mine. I literally couldn’t keep my hands out of my mom’s vanity. I’ve literally loved red lipstick since the age of four. Makeup is literally a form of art, there are no limits when it comes to makeup. I love being creative and expressing myself through glamourizing my everyday appearance. I love that for me. So let’s go back to how I got started. I was a broke college student attending Clayton State University and needed extra funds, but with classes and my social life, I know I couldn’t commit to a job lol I tried and was fired three times. So I had a roommate that would always compliment my makeup and bring up the idea of me doing hers and that she’d pay me. So I did. She loved her makeup and then word spread at her job and eventually around campus and that was great for me. As my clientele grew and I progressed, I realized I could possibly make this a career. The money was flowing and my clientele was great.

Then I graduated college and received my Bachelors, I moved back home I took a job in my field with hopes of going to law school. Unfortunately, I learned quickly that my “dream job” was overly stressful and I absolutely hated every job I was offered. Don’t get me wrong, they were great well-paying jobs but I was miserable. That’s when I realized I was too creative for a 9-5 and that makeup was my true passion. So I created Glam Artistry Co. and started accepting clients in my hometown of Macon, GA and it went great. Not only was I able to have a studio space in South Atlanta but I had a studio space in Macon to accommodate all of my clientele. Not only that but I’m able to use social media as a tool to continue to grow my clientele and keep my books filled. I’m so excited to see what 2022 has in store for me!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road and I’ve had to trust the process. Launching Glam Artistry Co. and starting my business from scratch was not only expensive but stressful as well. I had to invest a ton of money into my business, from my makeup kit, studio lighting, travel kits, branding, etc. It was literally me stepping out on faith and betting on myself without guaranteed success or money. Starting off things were slow but I stayed persistent and continuously worked to perfect my craft. To this very day, I’m actually still learning. Luckily through the power of social media and word of mouth my bookings were able to pick up and my hometown clientele began to grow. I’m not going to lie; I was scared at first but once clients started rolling in and things became consistent, I continued my grind. I’m glad I didn’t let startup fees or the process of gaining clientele detour me. Not to mention traveling back and forth between South Atlanta and Macon is a TASK! At one point, I was literally so exhausted but my hustle and grind kept me on my toes.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a makeup artist that specializes in GLAM in addition to being a lash tech and brow artist. I love to makeover each and every client. It’s something about creating a glamorous look and then seeing the look on my client’s faces when they look in the mirror. Not only that but booking with me is a complete experience. I love for my clients to feel luxurious while also being in a safe space. With music playing and having small girl talks, I’m able to build a connection with my clients. My atmosphere is safe and down to earth with also providing a luxury appeal. The accomplishment I’m most proud of is establishing a loyal clientele because without them, I wouldn’t have a business. Also, what sets me apart from others would definitely be the overall experience as well as my professional appearance. I need each and every one of my clients to feel luxurious and I go above and beyond to do just that.

Any big plans?
I have big plans for the future. I plan to continue to expand my clientele to a wider range of people as well as celebrity clients. I believe that my talent and genuine spirit will take me farther than I could ever imagine. In addition to growing my clientele, I have a book that is about to be published, in-depth online makeup courses that are about to drop, and I have an official “Soft Glam Masterclass” on the way. In addition to that, my cosmetics line (Glam At Tiffany’s Co.) will be launching new products. I am super excited about my future plans and goals. I also plan on hiring a team of artists to work in my larger studio space. 2022 is definitely going to be the year of elevation!
