Today we’d like to introduce you to Tramaine Long.
Tramaine, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I got my introduction to music in the church around the age of 5. I was nurtured by a close-knit family and a strong foundation in faith and community. After forming a music group with my friends and winning local talent shows, I knew my passion was music and I wanted to pursue it.
At 17, I purchased my first microphone and dived into the world of music production using FL Studio in 2004. My dedication to the craft never wavered as I furthered my education, graduating from Full Sail University in 2022 with a bachelor’s degree in Entertainment Business.
February 2025, I released my new album “Legendary” which is available now on all streaming platforms. This project aims to celebrate the legendary nature of God and the inherent greatness within us all. The goal is to reach the masses by crossing over genres to help shape people’s mentality and understanding of their identity in Christ.
I am now making my mark as a producer, singer, songwriter and licensed minister. I thank God for being able to live out my purpose and make a positive impact for the Kingdom.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I faced numerous challenges throughout this journey, having been raised by a young single mother as the only son among two sisters. My father passed away early on, and we found ourselves having to live in a shelter and even facing physical abuse. Once I became committed to healing, gave my life to Christ and got in healthy community I begin to THRIVE!
Also, my early years in the music industry I had to learn really tough lessons. With my lack of business acumen, I was quickly taken advantage of in contract deals. This inspired me to pursue a degree in Entertainment Business to be better equipped.
Nevertheless, I didn’t allow any of my experiences to make me angry bitter or resentful; it became fuel for me to change the narrative and educate others. If I can share my testimony, the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and people are drawn closer to God our Father than that is a win for the Kingdom of God!
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am truly thankful for my many gifts and talents when it comes to the entertainment space. As of right now I make my own beats, and sing write and produce all of my songs. I am also a skilled mixing engineer and videographer. I am a creator, and I enjoy the process of watching things come to life.
I am most proud of my family. I now have the opportunity to create something I didn’t see growing up and establish generational wealth and legacy. Being resilient, committed and motivated sets me apart. I know what God created me to do, and I strive to walk it out in my everyday encounters.
Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
My latest album “Legendary” was developed from understanding how God sees me. I am on a mission to go into the music industry and be the light. I define success as my songs reaching the masses and people lives being transformed. I want people to feel inspired and the love of God. I pray my songs provide hope in difficult times and encourage people to find the strength not to give up.
