Today we’d like to introduce you to Tyler Kidd.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started as a dance teacher assistant and eventually started teaching my own classes at multiple studios. Fast forward to dancing, acting, and singing professionally, I’m now doing it full-time!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
There’s been some obstacles I’ve had to face along the way. I feel like one thing I wish I had known before hopping into the entertainment industry was how expensive it was to obtain doing it for a while.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am an actor, singer, and dancer/dance instructor. I’ve had a chance to work in the music industry as a background singer, I frequently do musical theatre, and I’ve had the chance to be in the TV/Film world from time to time. What I’m most proud of is becoming someone who pays their bills doing things they love! I feel like what sets me apart from others is how I look compared to other folks who do what I do because there’s always an element of surprise when people see a big man like me doing toe touches and other things like that on stage.
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
I feel like a characteristic of mine that’s important to my success is the way I network and always make an effort to treat folks with kindness.
