Daily Inspiration: Meet Vera Rose

Today we’d like to introduce you to Vera Rose.

Hi Vera, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Music has always been in my blood since before I was even born. With my mom and my Grandma being singers, I practically was born into a musical family. I grew up in a Baptist home and attended a Catholic private school where I was deep rooted in my faith and my beliefs. At the time I didnt realize anything of my musical gifts and abilities but throughout my childhood I understood why music was always my first choice. Most of my peers were into sports and their academics but I was in every Chorus, Theatre Play, and Musical that any of my schools had to offer. I even participated in my church choir and community plays. I was in Orchestra where I played the violin and I even taught myself the basics of the piano. I auditioned for my schools musical called “Bye Bye Birdy” and I got the part. It wasnt a huge role but that inspired me to continue on my performing arts journey. At a young age I lost the one person in my life who pushed me to even do those great attributes of my gifts, who was my mom. Losing my mom made a big piece of me crumble inside. My mind and heart froze. But I knew I had to keep going to greatness and I aspired to be this phenomenal artist. My inspirations are Earth Wind and Fire, Michael Jackson, Chaka Khan, Isley Brothers, Drake, MoonChild, and my list can go on. But these artists helped me embody my sound and musical characteristics. I have worked with influential artists in the industry and I have performed beside the greats. Even with all the phenomenal things I have done so far, I still have a ways to go for me to get to my Artistry Peak! I am inspired and excited for my new musical journey.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I feel nothing in life is ever east thats worth fighting for. ~ Vera
My life has been a roller coaster since I came out the womb. From trials and tribulations also came Triumphs and Victories. I would be preparing for an album or a project or even attempting to go full force on my music career and something always seemed to get in the way. Some sort or form of a roadblock. I can’t even lie some roadblocks definitely made my force come to a stop. But I always kept going after every challenge. When I try to stop my supporters and fans wont let me quit. I thank everyone for that.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Wow so where do I begin. Lol. My first love (which is music) is my baby. I am a soul singer first amongst everything else. I aspire to do Broadway, do an album and go on tour. I became a Chef after my breakup last year in 2021. I started my chef business in Greensboro North Carolina during the summer time and grew a nice clientele. I would sell my plates and instantly sell out after 10 minutes. I even gained some celebrity clients from cooking. Thriving in my chef business is a second aspiration.
I recently became a content creator on Instagram and was chosen by IG create paid content. I call myself the “Plus Size Influencer”. Its been going great honestly. Some are born with it and some have to work 20x harder to WIN and I think I have yo work harder. Thats what separates me from everyone else honestly.

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
What makes Vera happy is knowing that I am working on my goals and my dreams daily. It keeps me grounded and going. Knowing that I still have a chance to succeed and prosper makes me happy and inspired.
