Today we’d like to introduce you to Vinika Patel.
Hi Vinika, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Blooming Lillies started from a place of creativity, culture, and wanting to create beautiful moments that feel personal.
I’ve always been drawn to details: florals, ambiance, storytelling, and the way small touches completely transform a space. What started as helping with decor and styling for family events slowly turned into something bigger. I realized I didn’t just love flowers – I loved the experience around them.
I saw that so many events had florals, but very few made guests feel part of the moment. That’s when the idea of the Bloom Bar came to life – instead of just decorating a space, why not create an interactive experience where guests build their own bouquets and take home a memory?
Blooming Lillies was born from that vision:
intentional design
romantic, elevated styling
and creating moments people actually remember
As a woman building a business from scratch, I wore every hat at the beginning – sourcing flowers, designing setups, marketing, deliveries, late-night planning, early-morning installs. It wasn’t glamorous at first, but it was built with heart.
Today, Blooming Lillies isn’t just a flower rental brand – it’s about connection. Bridal showers, baby showers, birthdays, graduations – each event tells a story. And I get to help bring that story to life through florals.
What started as a creative outlet has turned into a brand that reflects who I am: romantic, detail-oriented, and deeply passionate about making people feel celebrated.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road and I think that’s what makes the journey meaningful.
Blooming Lillies started with passion and vision, not a perfect business plan. In the beginning, I was doing everything myself — designing, sourcing flowers, delivering, setting up, breaking down, marketing, answering emails, and learning pricing all at the same time. It was exciting, but it was also overwhelming.
One of the biggest challenges was understanding the financial side of a floral-based business. Flowers are perishable, costs fluctuate, and there’s so much more behind a setup than people realize — labor, transport, prep time, waste, branding, overhead. I had to learn how to price confidently and shift from “I just want to book it” to “I’m building something sustainable.”
Another struggle was visibility. Atlanta’s event industry is competitive, and building brand recognition takes consistency and patience. I realized quickly that talent alone isn’t enough — marketing is everything. Investing in branding and content creation was a turning point for Blooming Lillies.
Every struggle forced growth. It strengthened my confidence, sharpened my business instincts, and helped me define what Blooming Lillies truly stands for — intentional design, interactive experiences, and building a brand that lasts.
The road hasn’t been smooth, but it’s been worth it. Every challenge shaped both the business and me as a founder.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m a creative entrepreneur who builds experience-driven brands.
By day, I work a 9–5, and outside of that I’ve built Blooming Lillies — an interactive floral experience company specializing in curated Bloom Bars for bridal showers, birthdays, baby showers, and luxury celebrations. We focus on creating moments that feel intentional, romantic, and memorable rather than just decorative.
I also Co-founded Your Kahani, a wedding and event planning company centered around storytelling. “Kahani” means story — and that’s the heart of everything we create. Whether it’s florals, full-scale weddings, or intimate gatherings, We specialize in experiences that feel personal and emotionally meaningful.
In addition, I’m preparing to launch a clothing brand that reflects the same aesthetic I’m known for — soft, elevated, feminine, and intentional. Each brand I build connects back to one core idea: helping people feel celebrated and seen.
What I’m most proud of is building all of this while still working a full-time job. There’s a level of discipline and sacrifice that comes with that. Late nights, early mornings, constant planning — but also clarity. I’m not building randomly; I’m building strategically.
What sets me apart is that I don’t just create pretty setups — I create experiences. Blooming Lillies isn’t just flowers; it’s interactive. Your Kahani isn’t just planning; it’s storytelling. My brands are rooted in culture, romance, and intentional design.
I also bring a business mindset to creativity. I’ve learned how to price sustainably, build systems, invest in branding, and think long-term. I’m not interested in trends, I’m building brands that grow with me.
At the core of it all, I’m someone who believes details matter. How something feels matters. And that intention always stands out.
So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
There are so many ways to connect and collaborate.
For Blooming Lillies, clients can book us for bridal showers, birthdays, baby showers, corporate activations, and private events where they want an interactive floral experience. We specialize in curated Bloom Bars that elevate the atmosphere and give guests something meaningful to take home.
Through Your Kahani, we work with couples who want intentional, story-driven wedding planning. Whether it’s full planning, design, or coordination, we focus on making each event feel deeply personal and beautifully executed.
I’m also always open to creative collaborations — photographers, venues, event stylists, content creators, brands, and small businesses who align with a romantic, elevated aesthetic. I truly believe it takes a village to build something impactful.
As I prepare to launch my clothing brand, I’m excited to connect with creatives, manufacturers, and brand partners who value thoughtful design and storytelling.
And honestly, support doesn’t always have to be financial. Sharing our work, referring us to friends, engaging with our content, and simply cheering us on makes a bigger difference than people realize — especially as a growing business.
I’m building brands rooted in intention and experience, and I love connecting with people who value creativity, culture, and meaningful moments.
