Daily Inspiration: Meet Woodeline Pierre

Today we’d like to introduce you to Woodeline Pierre.

Hi Woodeline, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My journey has always been guided by one core belief: leaving people better than I found them.
I began my career as a Registered Nurse, working in Pediatric, Home Health and Medical Surgical. Those experiences taught me that care is not only clinical — it is emotional and relational. Being present for people during their most vulnerable moments showed me the importance of compassion, consistency, and creating a sense of safety.

As my career progressed, I began traveling from city to city and state to state as a nurse, serving diverse communities and meeting people from all walks of life. No matter where I went, I saw the same thing: people want to feel supported, comfortable, and understood. That insight stayed with me and influenced everything I chose to build afterward.

That understanding eventually led me into hospitality and design. I became an Airbnb decorator and host, creating thoughtfully designed spaces that feel restorative and intentional or simply guide others how to do so. For me, a home is more than a place to stay — it’s a place to exhale. A place that is calming, welcoming, and restorative. I approach each project with the same mindset I bring to nursing — with care, attention to detail, and a deep respect for the people who will experience the space.

Bloom Wellness Retreat was born from this same purpose. Bloom focuses on women’s health, personal development, and mental well-being. It was created as a space where women can step away from their daily responsibilities and reconnect with themselves through meaningful conversations and shared experiences. Bringing women together to learn, heal, and grow has been one of the most meaningful extensions of my work. Can’t wait for this year event in October!

At first glance, nursing, hosting, and wellness may seem like separate paths — but for me, they are deeply connected. Each one is an expression of the same mission: to leave people better than I found them, it is all driven by one purpose: to leave people better than I found them, whether I am caring for patients, hosting guests, or creating wellness experiences, I aim to make a positive and lasting impact through service, intention, and connection.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has not been a completely smooth road. Last year, I had to pause many of the things I was working due to a medical scare. It was an unexpected season that forced me to slow down and reassess not just my work, but my own well-being.

At the time, I couldn’t work to the best of my ability, and I made the decision to postpone many things including Bloom Wellness Retreat. That was not easy, especially after investing so much time, energy, and heart into creating something meant to serve others. However, that moment required me to practice what I often encourage others to do — pause and reset.

My biggest set back was the passing of my mother which have impacted me in ways I could never imagine.

Taking a ”Pause” was not a setback — it became part of the journey. It reinforced my commitment to creating work that honors health, intention, and long-term impact rather than constant momentum. Wellness shouldn’t something we offer, it should be something we must live.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Nursing taught me how to care for people in meaningful, personal ways — not just physically, but emotionally and mentally as well.

What I am most proud of is not one specific title or project, but the consistency of my purpose across everything I do. Whether I am caring for a patient, hosting a guest, or organizing a wellness experience, my goal is the same — to leave each interaction meaningful.

What sets me apart is that I don’t separate service from experience. My background in nursing gives me a deep understanding of care, while my love for hosting allows me to express that care creatively. Looking ahead, I am excited to spend even more time hosting people in ways that feel personal and intentional — whether that’s intimate backyard dinners, wellness gatherings, or even elopement-style experiences.

If I don’t do anything else in this life, I want my interaction with others to be meaningful. That is what drives my work and defines what I’m building.

Who else deserves credit in your story?
I have been incredibly fortunate to be surrounded by people who poured into me both professionally and personally. I truly believe none of what I’ve built happened in isolation.

Some of my key mentors and collaborators include Danielle Bryant, who guided me in short-term rental mentorship; Dr. Brittany Nelson, who supported me in business credit; and Cindy Lafalaise, whose work as a content creator, blogger, and photographer helped bring my vision to life. I’ve also been deeply supported by mental health therapist Anim Aweh; Life/Business Coaches Dr. Muriam Cinevert and Dr. Shaneque Metelus; Nurse Practitioner Manoucka Lorminy; credit advisor Essence Oni; Chef Ruthie Delices; and Midwife and Birthkeeper Melissa Philippe, all of whom generously gave their time, knowledge, and presence by teaching and speaking at our events.

Equally important is my personal support system — friends and family who consistently show up with love and encouragement, including Lovely, Thalika, Esther.M, Kristie, Rose, Lugenie, Neika,Trevor, and Kerline.

What makes these relationships so meaningful is that many of these people didn’t just support the vision — they supported me as a person. They showed up not only for business milestones, but also during life’s difficult moments. That kind of community is rare, and I am forever thankful for it.
