Hi Yesteryear ATL, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
We run a marketing/promotion/exclusives & hosting page on Instagram called Yesteryear ATL (@yesteryearatl). We host a catalog of songs from the next batch of emerging l Atlanta underground artists such as Brezzo, Lilclayco, Swapa, and even boast upcoming major producers within our creds, such as Traiqo and Mr Weaver. They’re mostly in the same lane as other underground Atlanta artist. We help emerging local emcees in the areas of distribution and promotion through a bevy of resources and connections we have at our disposal. We look to only publish neutral editorials as look to be a positive and neutral representation of the public consciousness. We’re a black-owned hosting service looking to set the standard for platforming local artists and spreading their music to democratize the market, especially when it comes to blogs snd controlling the narrative for the culture.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Initially, our first rollouts were choppy—we began the page in a limited capacity in summer of 2023, we begin to gain momentum in 2024 off the back of word-of-mouth and various collaborations crafted around growing the brand.

We’re creatives looking to highlight the best and most underrated local emcees producers and music creatives the city and region has to offer. We specialize in hosting serviced and music aggregator services as well.
