Hi Keisa, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My name is Keisa Moss I’m a faith believer, wife, mom and owner of MossLounge I enjoy reading, dancing, traveling, exploring new places, spending time with friends/family, trying new foods and of course drinking wine. August 2021, I started my business with a strong passion for wine. The process of wine continues to fascinate me and I enjoy experiencing wine. I initially just would drink wine after a stressful work day it was calming for me. Then my wine experiences elevated to pleasure. I then was intrigued with wine tastings and wine education . I didn’t know anything about the wine industry or how to start a business at all, What I did know, is that I wanted to be a part of the wine industry and culture. I knew early on I would have a sit at the table. I decided to begin with wine accessories, then work on bottling my own wine. I’m big on education and the why behind the process. I’ve self-educated myself a lot on wine before I starting my business. June 2022, I started formal wine education through Napa Valley Academy and I’m WSET1 certified. I’m currently enrolled in WSET2.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No, With all success comes challenges that’s included with business life. A lot encompasses into really running a business. Marketing, social marketing, inventory, public relations, networking, sales, admin work, just to name a few. With running my business the rest of my life hasn’t stopped. It can be a struggle at times, because some roadblocks take longer to conquer than others. I know when the challenges arise, I’m getting closer to reaching a business milestone. With every challenge comes a thicker skin and learning life lesson. You have to have the mindset of “Remembering WHY you started and never give up”

Blind wine tasting with food pairing are dedicated to black own brands, this educates and promotes more for the culture. I’m big on training and the WHY behind a process. In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
The wine industry is forever changing and shifting. It’s very innovative and creative There are so many wonderful brands and stories that have ignited individuals to begin a wine drinking journey. I see more individuals becoming more engaged with the educational aspect of wine. I see way more unthought of varietal blends produced. The creativity with wine is endless, from virtual events to wine festivals and more wine 5k races.
