Today we’d like to introduce you to Nikki E. CEO
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I’ve always loved makeup. It’s one of those things where I can’t imagine life without it. Growing up, I used to sneak and wear my mom’s makeup. I remember when I was in middle school, a friend of mine & I would put makeup on before school & wipe it off before we went home. I was just fascinated by it. With just a few strokes of a brush, your beauty could be enhanced. It’s incredible. Over the years, that love just continued to grow to where I felt it was necessary for me to leave my mark in the beauty world. Originally, I wanted to create a lip gloss line, but I felt that wouldn’t be enough to showcase my love for makeup. So, I decided to create a full cosmetics line. The name [Kraverz Kosmeticz] comes from the theme which is food. I’m a southern girl so my next love is food. I decided to blend the two together to form a very unique beauty experience. Every product is food related.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It was definitely not smooth, I put in work. This is my first business so I had to learn everything from how to pick out products, to marketing, to how to form my LLC, etc. When I was choosing my products, I had to do a lot of research. Since some of my products are made in-house, I had to learn how to make them, which ingredients are best for your since, and which would allow me to have an affordable price point. I also had to see what people like so my products would be trendy and relatable. Marketing is an ongoing learning lesson. You can never know too much about it. I’m always reading and expanding my knowledge on how to better market and promote my business. Legalizing my business was one of the more challenging things. I had to form my LLC, obtain my EIN, & get my sellers permit. All of those were completed by me. I love to learn new things so I researched how to do it myself. I’ve also been able to help my CEO friends legalize their businesses as well due to my research so that’s cool. Once I went through the motions, it was smooth sailing.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Kraverz Kosmeticz LLC is a food-themed cosmetics line. We offer a full line of cosmetics. What makes us unique is that all of our products are food related. For examples, our brushes are called “utensils”. I had to come up with a unique concept that would attract capture the attention of my target audience. Our products are designed to be user-friendly to both professional makeup artists and makeup lovers.
