Today we’d like to introduce you to Aditi Khanna
Hi Aditi, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My journey began at a young age, with dance in India, which led me to the stage and an opportunity to connect with artists, gain confidence, and develop a deep love for art and theatre. I firmly believe in what Maya Angelou once said, “Everything in the universe has rhythm. Everything dances” which led me to form my first business venture “Jig2Fit” which focused on dance-based fitness cardio routine for adults.
As a teacher’s daughter, teaching and giving came naturally to me. In Dubai, I learned how dance, music, and art can benefit kids of all abilities and I continued to hone in on my skills and passion while I explored various facets of this incredible world.
After moving to Atlanta, I worked with schools to offer programs for children’s enrichment and growth and this is how Jig2Fit Kids was formed. In 2023, I took over We Rock The Spectrum Kids Gym Atlanta, where we focus on inclusion, allowing both neurotypical and neurodivergent kids to thrive together through dance, theatre, athletics, and more.
This new opportunity has come with its own challenges and rigor and I hope to resume hosting dance workshops for adults soon.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My husband and I believe in simple living and high thinking. We both come from humble backgrounds and understand the importance of hard work and dedication. While we’ve had our challenges—raising two kids under two and moving from India to Dubai and now to Atlanta—we’ve learned so much along the way. These experiences have made us stronger and deepened our faith in the community.
We’ve been impressed with Jig2Fit Kids, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Jig2Fit Kids owns and operates We Rock The Spectrum Kids Gym Atlanta/Roswell. We do everything for kids. We host programs, classes, camps, and most loved birthday parties. We are a gym for all kids. We are known for our sensory-safe equipment, adaptive programs, and being a safe place for all kids. We offer programs to schools, host at the gym for an overall enriched personality development.
Our brand is all about inclusion and kindness and we are a no-judgment zone for all families.
We welcome neurotypical and neurodivergent kids to our indoor gym. We offer camps, respite care, prek prep for preschoolers, birthday parties, special theme events, private playdates, parent night out, classes like Zumbini (mommy and me), Music, Social Skills, Spanish Language and more
We’re always looking for the lessons that can be learned in any situation, including tragic ones like the Covid-19 crisis. Are there any lessons you’ve learned that you can share?
Family, Love, and Community are what make us stronger and resilient.
Seize the moment and live for the present. Isolation and Social Bubbles taught man is a social animal and we all need a little love and faith to survive.
COVID-19 period made me stronger as a person, I delivered my second daughter in June 2020, and those times taught me never to give up and make the best of what you have.
