Exploring Life & Business with Adreanne Wheeler of Lip Junky Cosmetics

Today we’d like to introduce you to Adreanne Wheeler.

Hi Adreanne, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My name is Adreanne Wheeler, also known as Drea Nicole, and I’ve always known I was meant to be a businesswoman. Long before I had a brand, I had a vision. I remember playing “office” as a child, imagining myself in tailored pantsuits, making decisions, leading, and building something of my own. That dream never left me; it simply evolved.

Fashion and beauty have always been my language. I studied them, worked in them, and immersed myself in every angle of the industry. Over the years, I’ve worn many hats: hairstylist, personal stylist, student, and business owner. Each role has sharpened my eye and strengthened my confidence. I learned that beauty isn’t just about appearance; it’s about presence, power, and how you show up in the world.

Lip Junky Cosmetics was born from that mindset. I wanted to create a brand that felt bold, addictive, and unapologetically confident—products that make you feel polished, powerful, and ready to take up space. I built the brand with intention, blending creativity with strategy and treating it like the serious business I always dreamed of running.

Today, Lip Junky embodies that childhood vision, femininity, fearlessness, and elevation. It’s more than a beauty brand; it’s a statement. I’m proud of what I’ve built so far, and I’m focused on growing it into a lasting, influential business with a clear point of view and long-term impact.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No—it wasn’t a smooth road. Lip Junky Cosmetics took three years to bring to life, shaped by sleepless nights, constant refinement, and an uncompromising standard. In the year leading up to launch, I balanced internships, travel, networking, and nonstop extracurriculars, often running on ambition rather than rest. Even on launch day, self-doubt crept in. Imposter syndrome still shows up from time to time like an ex who checks in “just to see how you’re doing.” I’ve learned to acknowledge it without letting it lead. I’m deeply grateful for my support system, my faith, and the Lip Junky community. Every challenge has sharpened my confidence and shaped the intentional way I lead today.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Lip Junky Cosmetics is a vegan, cruelty-free beauty brand. We specialize in high-impact lip products designed to elevate presence with luxurious formulas, timeless shades, and that instant “put-together” feeling. What sets us apart is how intentionally we build and release. Lip Junky operates on a drop-only model, launching curated collections tied to distinct themes and campaigns rather than constant product releases. Each drop is treated like a moment strategically planned, creatively directed, and designed to feel collectible, not disposable. Our community and visual identity are just as intentional. On Instagram, we create mood-board-worthy content the kind you saved as a kid, dreaming of bandage dresses and vintage Gucci heels. We’re pink, loud, nostalgic, and unapologetic. There’s no clean-girl aesthetic here. Lip Junky is about glam, fantasy, and confidence. What I’m most proud of is the discipline behind the brand. Every collection, campaign, and detail is purposeful. Lip Junky Cosmetics isn’t just makeup, it’s a mood, a moment, and a brand built to be remembered. One swipe and you’re hooked.

We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
I don’t believe in luck. I believe in the Lord’s timing, in being blessed and highly favored, and in the responsibility to work for what you’re called to build. There was a period where I was sitting quietly with the finished product, waiting for the “perfect time.” What I learned is that perfection can become a pause. In my view, “luck” is often a word used to soften the reality of effort. If you truly want somethingwhether in business or in any passion, you have to be willing to put in the time and do it scared. Purpose meets progress through work, not chance.
