Today we’d like to introduce you to Akeia Keith.
Hi Akeia, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
In the past two years, my life has had its ups and downs. I have embraced the “yin yang” concept which means I totally seek for harmony and balance in my life. I lost my mother to COVID-19 on August 21, 2021. This was the most unexpected, devastating, life-changing moment. I have never felt a heart void like this in life. Although losing my mother was and still is a heart breaking etch in my life journey, perseverance was ignited in me. Instead of getting lost in grief, although I have my days and or moments, I am now more focused on life than ever before. I realize that life is just a vapor. We only get one chance in life. So, make it count.
I am now intentionally going after all of my dreams and aspirations. I have surrounded myself with great mentors, coaches and friends that encourage me to go achieve my goals day by day.
Since launching my motivational speaking business, Akeia Keith, LLC, I have embarked upon skills and talents that I did not know existed. It’s quite intriguing to see the leader and speaker that I am becoming. Being a leader and speaker requires me to commit to much personal development and personal transformational awareness on a continual basis. This path is not my own. I am locked in to seeing others win as I encounter their life in some form or fashion. I have fully accepted that storytelling and being vulnerable on the stage transforms lives and makes undeniable sustainable impact in others. For this path I am swiftly learning as a global speaker, my coaches, mentors, friends, and family are my personal cheerleaders wishing nothing but success for me.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
No, being a speaker has not been a smooth road. Many think that starting a business is easy. I must agree, it is. However, maintaining the business and all of the demands of business is the hard part. Hence the reason that one must be ok with intentionally investing in one’s personal development and any other business needs that will allow you to authentically show up every time. Some of my struggles along the way consisted of things such as: time management and networking so that others will know that I am a speaker. Both of these struggles are important and must be addressed successfully for continual positive business growth.

Akeia Keith, LLC is a global motivational speaking business. I travel globally to speak to youth and those that work with youth. As a result of my transparent story telling while speaking, youth, parents, and those that work with youth experience clear communication skills, better relationships, and positive goal-oriented choices. I am always looking for schools and organizations who are ready to experience minimal communication barriers, successful relationships, and positive life adjustments over excuses. I am known for making impact in the lives of those that I may come in contact with. What sets me apart from others is my passion and my heart to engage in mindset growth and development. I cause people to see the best version of themselves. What I am most proud of brand wise is that I am becoming an unforgettable speaker due to my commitment to the craft of speaking and assisting other great speakers to create transformational messages. I am available to speak at your school, church, community event, agency, youth event and any other opportunity that is deemed applicable to my mission to create impact and transformation that leads to positive mindset growth.
Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
The best thing that I like in our city is the various restaurants and great networking opportunities. The thing that I like the least in our city is the traffic. Traffic is always a thing that seems like it is unavoidable.
