Exploring Life & Business with Albert Assad of Atlantic Consulting Solutions

Today we’d like to introduce you to Albert Assad.

Hi Albert, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Growing up in California as the child of Mexican immigrants with a Lebanese heritage, my journey to founding Atlantic Consulting Solutions has been anything but conventional. My mother—who raised four children largely alone while working across the San Diego border daily—showed me what determination truly means. While she built a nursing career and eventually founded a medical mission serving developing countries, I was attending boarding school in New Hampshire, absorbing diverse perspectives that would later serve me well.
Instead of following a traditional path, I spent a decade in seminary life in the Catholic Church across six countries, learning languages and developing a deep understanding of human nature that transcends cultural boundaries. This unique foundation gave me invaluable perspective when I eventually transitioned to business, completing my MBA and working in management consulting.
The pivotal moment came unexpectedly—after leaving a firm, my former clients sought me out directly. As I like to say, “My clients asked me to start my business.” That organic beginning has now grown into a consulting practice that has transformed over 400 businesses across North America, Africa, and the Middle East. We’ve helped companies grow by 300%, navigate partnership disputes, and turn around near-bankruptcies. Along the way, I’ve continued my education through Wharton’s General Management Program and given back over 2,000 hours in pro-bono services to minority-owned small businesses.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Starting over has been a recurring theme in my life. Three complete fresh starts—once with only $568 Euros to my name, another time unable to afford lunch—taught me resilience without ever asking for handouts.
The cultural transitions proved equally challenging. I’ve experienced being viewed as “too American” in Europe, a “gringo” in Mexico, and paradoxically, “not American enough” when returning to the US with my multi-cultural accent. Imagine transitioning from a monastic lifestyle to the competitive business world while simultaneously building credibility in a city where nobody knew my name.
Perhaps most difficult was overcoming my own insecurities. As a young consultant advising experienced business owners, I had to prove my worth daily while handling every aspect of entrepreneurship until I could afford to build a team. These challenges didn’t break me—they shaped my consulting approach: empathetic, practical, and deeply connected to the human side of business.

As you know, we’re big fans of Atlantic Consulting Solutions. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
We work to strategically scale small and lower mid-market businesses into high-value enterprises. What makes us different? We understand the reality of small business ownership because we’ve lived it, and we combine strategic thinking with financial expertise—a rare combination in our field.
Our proprietary methodology centers on what we call the 3Cs of Scalability: Customer, Culture, and Cash Flow. We obsess over creating exceptional customer experiences, building Level 5 leadership teams aligned with corporate values, and mastering cash flow management—because what’s the point of increasing sales if you’re losing profits in the process?
Our clients, many of whom have achieved Inc. 5000 and Franchise 400 recognition, appreciate our approach as partners rather than outside consultants. We become trusted members of their team, speaking their language (literally—we’re fully bilingual in English and Spanish), and tailoring our 50-module framework to fit their specific needs.
I’m most proud of our track record: 350% average profit improvement, 300% revenue growth across clients, and transformations in 38 different industries. But the numbers only tell part of the story—the real satisfaction comes from seeing business owners reclaim their passion and quality of life as their companies thrive.

What’s next?
We’re developing a turnkey approach to our methodology that will allow us to expand nationwide, partnering with consultants who share our passion for helping small businesses—the backbone of America’s economy. The success we’ve witnessed has inspired us to write a book aimed at helping business owners avoid becoming part of the 80% of small businesses that unfortunately fail.
Our vision is ambitious but clear: to become the most effective consulting practice on the Atlantic. This means democratizing high-quality consulting through a framework that’s both powerful and accessible. We’re already working across continents but plan to establish permanent physical presence in strategic international locations.
Ultimately, success for us means empowering entrepreneurs with the tools, confidence, and support they need to build thriving businesses that create jobs, serve communities, and generate wealth—without sacrificing their wellbeing in the process.
