Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I grew up always knowing I wanted to make a positive impact on people’s lives — and make a lot of money doing it. I didn’t come from a family of entrepreneurs, so my go-to career path was to become a doctor ever since I was 11 or 12 years old. That was the highest-paying profession I could find that also allowed me to help others.
As I got older and was introduced to a new world of opportunities, I realized that being a doctor wasn’t entirely my dream — it was the dream my loved ones had for me. Their vision was for me to go to college, get a degree, start a career, then a family, and spend the rest of my life working a high-paying job.
After many years of trial and error with college, I started to rethink my plan — around the same time I was introduced to the tax preparation business. After making someone’s yearly salary within just two weeks, and so early on in my business, I decided to redirect both my degree and my life path to take my business to the next level.
I still have the same end goal I did growing up — to help people and create generational wealth — but now I’ve found a more efficient, aligned way to reach my goals that fits both me and the lifestyle I’m after.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has definitely not been a smooth road lol — family problems, friendship problems, relationship problems… all the normal obstacles we face in life. I realized early on though that I’m here for a purpose. That belief has kept me going. No matter how hard things have gotten or how many times I’ve had to adjust the journey, the goal has always stayed the same. I never gave up on me.

I’m not just here to process numbers — I educate my clients, help them understand their financial picture, and guide them toward long-term financial success. I’m also building out additional services, to be announced soon, so I can create a one-stop shop for my clients’ financial needs.
Brand-wise, I’m most proud of the trust I’ve built with my clients. Many have came back for year two and they refer others because they know I care about their success. Aphina isn’t just a tax service — it’s a brand that’s rooted in empowerment, growth, and helping people reach their financial goals.

What makes you happy?
What makes me happiest is being a mom. There’s no greater joy than seeing my daughter smile and knowing I’m creating a life where she can dream big and be whatever she wants to be. She’s my motivation behind everything I do, and watching her grow while I build my business is the most fulfilling feeling in the world.
I also feel genuinely happy and grateful every time a client tells me how much they appreciate my help. Whether it’s getting them their max refund or simply delivering exceptional customer service, I love knowing that I made their life easier and gave them peace of mind. That kind of positive impact keeps me inspired every day.
