Hi Avremel, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I started Raisegiving after spending two years processing payments for nonprofits through a platform named Jumpsuit Technologies. Through that work, I noticed a gap in the market for donors and nonprofits to work seamlessly together online. I started off working within my own Orthodox Jewish community and have since ventured out to bring this platform to a wider range of nonprofits.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No, unfortunately, it has not always been a smooth road. Although at times we’ve (thank G-d) seen immense success, we’ve also faced times of hardship in which we were forced to lay off employees. Developing our platform to a place we feel confident in has taken time and energy. We’ve struggled to balance releasing a platform we feel wholly confident in with making sure we’re not remaining stagnant in stages of development. We’re always learning!
