Today we’d like to introduce you to Chianne Peacock.
Hi Chianne, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Well, I was kinda thrown into this thing called “RADIO”. I came out of retirement of modeling thru a photographer named “I Am 365 Photography” he reached out to me on FB, asked would I be interested in a photoshoot? At the time, I said no. I eventually gave in after watching how talented he was, needless to say the photo shoot was a success. This then sparked a local ATL interest in lil ol me “Brooklyn’s Finest”. I started doing local interviews around ATL, and 1 day I did an interview with a comedy show on NU RADIO and the host DISCO 100 asked me after the interview would I like to be the host of their comedy show? I had never did radio, had no clue but DISCO gave me a crash course rite before my 1st show, I fell in love and that 1 opportunity lead me in to being on 4 other Radio Stations before I opened my own Radio Station in February of 2020 called “Talkishhh Radio”. The rest is yet to come!
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Not at all, I opened my station in February of 2020. The heart of Covid, rite when everyone went on lockdown. I was scared, worried, but very passionate about my decisions never stopped thru any of it, never gave up when folks said I COULDN’T DO IT when folks HATED ON ME. But GOD definitely had a plan, and yet we still struggle with everything going on I’m glad to say I still have my Radio Station and The Best it yet to come.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Well, I am a Black Owned Business. I am an internet-based Radio Station. We are on 14 platforms. We specialize in all types of radio….talk, music, podcast, sports, gospel, etc. Well, I am known for “Talking My ishhh” Vince The station’s name “Talkishhh Radio”. I guess what sets me apart from everyone else is that I don’t compete, I don’t try and keep up, I stay in My Lane and do what I am supposed to do! I’m proud of Talkishhh Radio, 1 of my biggest achievements this far. Never give up, no matter how hard things seem to be or get, get out of your head and push thru! What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
