Today we’d like to introduce you to Chris and Ch’nese Pittman. Them and their team share their story with us below:
Co-Founders of Fiesta Tour Puerto Rico, Chris and Ch’nese Pittman moved from Kennesaw, Georgia to San Juan on July 1, 2021. Our story began with a visit to the island in April of 2021, we felt like Puerto Rico was home. The people here are very hospitable, the weather is amazing and close to 300 beautiful beaches to explore!
We knew immediately that we would love to make Puerto Rico our second home. Chris and Ch’nese both worked in the hospitality industry in Georgia (Atlanta area) for quite some years. In fact, Atlanta is where our love story begins, we got married and had our firstborn in the city.
We decided to move to Puerto Rico three months after our initial visit, and we have not looked back since!
What inspired us to start Fiesta Tour PR was the love we have for customer service and providing a unique experience. When we visited the island, we loved the culture but mostly we loved the way the natives treated us. We wanted to be part of this culture and offer tourists, like ourselves, to feel right at home when they come to visit the island.
We bought a passenger van in New Jersey, shipped it to Puerto Rico and began a family-owned business focused on showing people the delicacies and beauty across the island. Whether you enjoy hiking, swimming, waterfalls, caves, rainforest or simply a Piña Colada on the beach, we have just the tour for you!
We hope to continue to grow and shed light and love with those exploring Puerto Rico, it is truly a once in a lifetime experience!
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
We have definitely faced our share of challenges, but what is not worth fighting for is not worth having at all. By us deciding to move in three months (90 days), everything was very rushed and there was a lot of pressure and deadlines. The language barrier was one road that resembled Atlanta, full of bumps and potholes. We do not speak fluent Spanish, so therefore we have had some difficulties maneuvering and making our way around.
Laws and regulations are slightly different here, so we had to get adjusted to the new way of living, and fast!
It was a huge transition for us, we have no family here and we completely picked up our entire life to move to what we now call a new sense of normalcy.
We are grateful for all of the help along the way, without the support this “leap of faith” would have been impossible!
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Fiesta Tour PR is a tour company (different from a travel agency) that specializes in personal experiences. We provide excursions across the entire island of Puerto Rico. We focus on your specific needs and create a tour to exceed your expectations. Whether you want to try authentic food, visit the west-cost of the island or plan a kid-friendly day. We literally have it all. Some of the most popular tours that we offer Waterfall Adventure, El Yunque Rainforest Hike, Beach Tour and Old San Juan Bar Crawl.
Fiesta Tour is unique in that we are intentional, we take smaller groups and we are able to be more personable. Once you enter the Fiesta Van, strangers become friends and family! We offer lite snacks, drinks and other accessories such as life vests, towels, speakers, not to mention history and knowledge about the island.
We want nothing more than for each guest to feel comfortable, we pry ourselves on being hospitable and pleasing to your needs.

In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
Ideally, we would love to expand Fiesta Tour PR. We currently have just one 15-passenger van and no employees! As the business grows, we would love to be able to service more people but not lose sight of our values. The tourism industry is forever growing, especially here on the island. As people continue to travel, our hope is that they see the beauty in Puerto Rico and make this a must-see destination. Travel and Tourism is not a new topic, people have been exploring the world for decades. With Puerto Rico being accessible and affordable, we see Fiesta Tour PR being around for many years to come!
