Today we’d like to introduce you to Deidra Davis.
Hi Deidra, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Lashes all started with a leap of faith. I’m originally from Columbus, Ohio and moved to Georgia for a job offer to start fresh. I worked as a property manager for a year and was let go with no notice what’s so ever. Luckily doing lashes was my side hustle and I decided to go full-time with it after the loss of my job. I hit the ground running with full force to gain my clientele and build my business from the ground up and a few months later I was booked and busy. I found a suite in Marietta Square and continued to grow into the 1500 sqft space I’m in now.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Some of the challenges I’ve faced would be, having to learn so much on my own about how to run a business.
COVID.
Not having as much support being in a new city.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Everlashting Beauty was started in March of 2016. I specialize in lash extensions & lash extension courses. I’m known for encouraging people to step out on faith and to be the best they can be in whatever they do.
What sets me apart from others is my professionalism and making sure my clients and students are well taken care of. That includes making them comfortable, making sure they’re happy and satisfied when they visit Everlashting Beauty.
What I’m most proud of is being able to accomplish actually running a business. I never thought I’d be in this position so quickly but I adapted to the lifestyle. Being able to open a business survive COVID & have a child through it all is definitely something to be proud of.
Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
Networking is a must when it comes to operating a business. I try to attend a networking event every month or 2 to keep meeting new people and stay connected.
