Today we’d like to introduce you to Donna McDonald Judy Goldberg
Hi Donna McDonald, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
A love for fine art brought us together, and in 2010, we turned that passion into Muse & Co. Fine Art. What started as a shared appreciation for original, high-quality artwork has grown into a carefully curated gallery representing contemporary and transitional pieces from emerging and established artists.
Originally located in Roswell, Georgia, we later found our home in the historic Marietta Square, where we continue to inspire collectors, designers, and art enthusiasts. While we have a strong focus on showcasing talented local artists, we also represent exceptional regional and international artists, offering a diverse and dynamic selection for every client. Our collection includes a wide range of paintings and sculptures, ensuring there’s something unique for every space.
Beyond being a space to discover exceptional art, we offer complimentary in-home and corporate consultations, commissions, installation services, and even rentals for the film and television industry. Collaboration is at the heart of what we do, and we love working with interior designers and trade professionals to bring their creative visions to life.
In addition to our gallery, we are proud to offer a boutique event space that allows guests to host their special moments surrounded by inspiring artwork. Whether it’s an intimate wedding, rehearsal dinner, cocktail party, or corporate gathering, our venue provides a unique and elegant setting in the heart of Marietta Square.
Through the years, we have remained committed to making art accessible in a welcoming, engaging environment. Whether you’re looking to start your collection, find a statement piece, or host an unforgettable event, we take pride in being a hidden gem where inspiration thrives.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
There are always challenges that come with opening and sustaining a business, and the art world is no exception. Economic shifts can directly impact galleries, and one of the ongoing struggles has been competition for space—particularly from the rise of restaurants and retail in key locations.
One of our biggest transitions was moving from Roswell to Marietta during the global pandemic. While it was a challenge, it ultimately became an opportunity. It gave us time to step back, rethink how we engage with the community, and find innovative ways to connect people with art. The Marietta Art District, which we are proud to be part of, spearheaded what became known as virtual art gallery tours. On First Friday Art Walk nights, galleries would go live on social media, allowing people to join from home with a glass of wine and experience the art virtually. This creative approach gained national recognition, and we were even featured in The Washington Post for our participation. Despite the challenges, we’ve continued to evolve, embrace change, and remain dedicated to providing a welcoming and inspiring space for art lovers and collectors.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about MUSE & Co Fine Art Gallery?
