A baseball injury introduced him to the world of chiropractic. During college at Jackson State University, Dr. Matthews suffered a back injury playing college baseball. He was back playing in know time and his interest in chiropractic was sparked.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Being a chiropractor can be rewarding, but it also comes with its challenges. Some challenges are that it can be physically demanding. You have to manage the expectations and the physical limitations of patients. You have to overcome the skepticism and bias of people who are educated about chiropractic care. Managing your own business and having work-life balance can also be a challenge.
