Exploring Life & Business with Eneilu Leon of Golde House Spray Tanning

Today we’d like to introduce you to Eneilu Leon.

Hi Eneilu, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My journey into sunless tanning started during a day in my full time job as a medical assistant, trying to find ways to leave this hard schedule and trying to get more income.
I’ve worked in the medical field for years—first completing medical school in my home country, and later continuing my career in the United States as a Medical Assistant in a dermatology office. Because of that experience, I understood early on the long-term effects of UV exposure, skin cancer risks, and the importance of protecting the skin while still helping people feel confident and beautiful.

In 2022, after having my daughter, I went through a challenging postpartum journey. Like many mothers, I needed a way to continue working, contribute financially, and still be present for my children. I wanted something flexible—something that allowed me to build a future on my own terms. That was the moment when sunless tanning became more than an idea; it became an opportunity.

I started studying and training to get certified in spray tanning. I invested slowly—piece by piece—buying equipment, learning techniques, and building the foundation of a business that felt aligned with both my passion for skin health and my desire for creative expression.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The road definitely hasn’t been smooth, but every challenge has shaped a new me.
Balancing business, motherhood and marrige is hard if you are not organized.

One of the biggest struggles was learning to trust myself. Coming from the medical world—where everything is structured, regulated, and predictable—switching to entrepreneurship required a completely different mindset. I had to learn marketing, customer service, branding, and the business side of beauty, all while making sure I maintained the highest standards of skin safety and professionalism. Find the courage to appear in social media is not easy if you ate not used to it, but necessary nowadays.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My business is a sunless tanning studio that blends beauty, artistry, and medical knowledge to create safe, natural-looking tans for every skin tone. What makes my brand unique is that it was built on a foundation of dermatology experience and a deep understanding of skin health. After working in a dermatologist’s office and studying the long-term effects of UV exposure, I wanted to offer an alternative that allowed people to feel beautifully bronzed without compromising their skin’s future.

I specialize in customized spray tanning, including mobile tanning, home-studio sessions, and advanced techniques like the Brazilian Tape Tan and Express Glow tans for clients who want a faster rinse time. My approach is highly personalized: every client receives a consultation based on their skin type, undertone, lifestyle, and desired result.

For your readers, I want them to know that spray tanning is not a “one shade fits all” service. It’s a customizable, artistic, and safe alternative to traditional tanning, especially for those who care about long-term skin health. Whether someone loves a subtle glow, a deep tropical bronze, or a sculpted bikini-line look, I have formulations and techniques that are tailored to them.

At the end of the day, my mission is simple: to provide a safer, healthier way to glow while helping clients feel beautiful, empowered, and cared for every time they walk through my doors or welcome me into their homes.

We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
I believe that every meaningful change in life requires some level of risk especially when you’re stepping into something new with no guarantees. I’ve never seen myself as a natural risk-taker; my background in the medical field trained me to think in a structured, evidence-based way. But becoming a mother and building a business taught me that sometimes the biggest risks are the ones that lead you to the most fulfilling growth.

One of the major risks I took was starting my spray tanning business while working full-time in healthcare and navigating early motherhood stages. I invested time, money, and energy that I barely had. I bought equipment little by little, and offered services from home. There was no safety net — just determination and a vision for a future where I could create my own schedule, support my family, and work in a field I was truly passionate about.
