Today we’d like to introduce you to Hannah A. Collier ACC, MBA, NBC-HWC
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Post-pandemic, I was struggling to get my life back on track after a whirlwind pregnancy. Several misdiagnoses and the reality of Black maternal health disparities left me on life support. As I made my way through recovery, I faced numerous setbacks. Still, being assertive, I was convinced I could overcome them—which led to my first decision: to start practicing yoga for both physical health and mental wellness. But I didn’t just want to learn how to practice; I also wanted to teach it to other women like myself—those who have been through, or are currently going through, the same thing.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I spent approximately two and a half years preparing myself to become a life coach, health and fitness maven, and certified yogi. At the time, these were all gray areas—I wasn’t entirely sure what direction I wanted to take. But the investment in myself, paired with a deep desire to help others heal, fueled my journey and set my path ablaze. Constant rebuttals and denials were a non-factor. In 2024, I officially established my businesses.

Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
Mentors are all around us. If you’re looking for help getting your business off the ground, consider tapping into online and digital resources. As a mom juggling daily life, I’m constantly seeking ways to avoid feeling boxed in. I’ve discovered how to expand my network through online communities and stay meaningfully engaged. My career provides a level of flexibility that I’ve always valued—and that flexibility continues to shape how I grow both personally and professionally.
