Exploring Life & Business with Helena Mcgee of Executive Care MedTrans

Today we’d like to introduce you to Helena Mcgee

Hi HELENA, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Helena Olivia McGee was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. Helena proudly joined the United States Army where she served our country for over two years. After the birth of her first child, Helena decided to continue her education, receiving a paralegal degree. She enjoyed the success she earned in this career, however the desire to provide community service in an more authentic and organic manner is a passion that never left her.

Being a people person and in an effort to provide an alternative income to her growing family, Helena starting driving for rideshare companies Uber and Lyft in 2015. During this time, she met an owner of a non-emergency medical transportation service. Helena partnered with this gift-giver and introduced to the opportunity of being a bridge to better health for the general public. With her growing passion to become a business owner, Helena retired her career as a paralegal and birthed Executive Care NEMT and Language Services LLC in October 2019.

Executive Care provided hospital transport services for workers comp, personal injury and COVID positive people during the height of Covid in the State of Georgia, Pennsylvania, Florida, Tennessee, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and more.

While Executive Care no longer partners with language interpreters, it continues to provide quality transportation for the private and workers comp sector.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Challenges- getting in touch with late drivers in other states. Teaching decorum and professionalism to adults.
