Exploring Life & Business with Jasmine Griffin of JNG Notary & Services

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jasmine Griffin.

Jasmine, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
After I graduated from Troy University in October 2021, I went through the phase most college grads go through of not knowing what was next. I spent countless hours of research on how to start a business. I found myself brainstorming and thought, “What is something that I enjoy doing and how can I create a lucrative business out of it?” I then thought about Notary Public. Notaries are known for their spirit of helping those in need, which is right up my alley. A Notary commission can open the door to more than a dozen additional money-making opportunities. One day I plan on opening up my own Private Investigation Firm. Being a Notary Public can help me with networking in the criminal justice field, gaining more knowledge with the laws and terms used. Thus, this is how JNG Notary & Services LLC came into fruition.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I came into this process trying to do as much research as possible. I had to figure out a lot of things on my own including: how to get an LLC, how to manage a business, taxes, marketing, etc. The toughest part about my journey (which has its pros and cons) was that I was completely new to Atlanta, GA. I was born and raised in Abbeville, AL where I have spent my whole life, up until March 2021. Marketing played a big factor in my business because it’s very easy to market on social media when you’re starting a business where people already know you or know of you, but to be in a complete different city and state, you have to start fresh and actually get out there and market yourself. I also had to use my full-time overnight job as a stepping stone to become my own boss.

As you know, we’re big fans of JNG Notary & Services LLC . For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
I am the Chief Executive Officer of “JNG Notary & Services LLC”. I built this company in March of 2022 and it is centered around helping clients who need mobile services for notarizations throughout the Metro Atlanta and surrounding areas. We Specialize in General Notary Work (Acknowledgments, Power of Attorney, last/living wills) as well as Notary Signing Agent (Refinance, Reverse Mortgage, Purchase Loans, Deed Packages). We also do I-9 verifications and will soon be adding a mobile fingerprinting service.

Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
I believe that my “journey” has yet to begin. As an entrepreneur, I am learning every day. You have to commit to your business every day, even on the days you want to give up. No matter how hard it gets, keep pushing forward. The more you sacrifice yourself to your craft, the more your dreams become a reality.

My family has played a huge part in my journey thus far, so I do want to thank the love and support of my Mom, Dad, and two brothers. My nephew and niece (Jayden & Emery) are two of my biggest motivators. I love them all dearly.
